Activities performed: ● Conducted social baseline assessments in the Matambwe area to understand local community conditions, livelihoods, and resource use patterns. ● Identified potential social risks and impacts associated with the proposed infrastructure development within the project area. ● Carried out consultations with local communities, park-related stakeholders, and relevant institutions. ● Assessed likely impacts on access to natural resources, livelihoods, mobility, and community well-being. ● Reviewed issues affecting vulnerable groups, including inclusion, benefit sharing, and community safety considerations. ● Contributed to the identification of mitigation measures and social management actions for the project. ● Supported the documentation of consultation outcomes, stakeholder concerns, and key social findings in the study report. Provided inputs on social safeguards, community engagement, and implementation considerations under the assignment.
